It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Leanna Christensen of Harlan, Iowa, who passed away on June 1, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Arentson and Alice Arentson (Peterson). She is survived by: her husband Stanley Christensen of Harlan, Iowa; her children, Curt Christensen (Amy) of Omaha, Nebraska, Beth Ann Brace (Todd) of Defiance, Iowa, Kyle Christensen (Suzanne) of Defiance, Iowa and Joel Christensen (Valerie) of Severance, Colorado; her siblings, Mary Nichols-Olson of Marshalltown, Iowa, Verl Arentson (Marie) of Harlan and Gene Arentson (Darlene) of Harlan; and her grandchildren, Melany Spiehs, Amber Linthakham, Jordan Christensen, Shelby Estep, Nathan Brace, Matthew Brace, Christopher Brace, Caleb Brace, Lucas Brace, Thomas Christensen, Carrie DeSpain, Scott Christensen, Laura McKinney, Hope Christensen, Adam Christensen, Jonathan Christensen and Evan Christensen. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
