He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Christensen and Margaret Christensen; his former wife Myrna Christensen (Bladt); and his son Grant Christensen. He is survived by: his former wife Myrna Loy Bladt; his wife Verna Erickson of Harlan Iowa; his sons, Scott Christensen (Cynthia) of Omaha, Jerry Christensen (Jenny) of Castle Rock, CO and Michael Christensen (Emily) of Harlan; his daughter-in-law Rita Christensen of Omaha; his stepchildren, Michael Erickson (Juanita) of Elk Horn and Jill Pappa (Dave) of Lord's Valley, PA; and his sisters, Patricia Kumm (Derald) of Harlan and Mary Marsh (Herm) of Torrance, CA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
