He is survived by: his wife Hertha Elaine Strandskov; his children, Jerry Haas (Teresa) of Surprise, AZ, Debra Billings of Omaha, NE and Donna Nelson (Greg) of Harlan, IA; his grandchildren, Laura Louser (Daniel) of Bixby, OK, Linda Haas of Plymouth, MN and Jason Haas (Chelsey) of Bennington, NE.; his great grandchildren, Aiden Louser, Penelope Jameson, Virginia Haas, Levi Edgington, Carolyn Melody, Kristen Billings, Chloe, Kaylee Carlson, Brody, Ellison Nelson and Oliver Lowary; his sisters-in-law, June Haas of Kimballton, Irma Pedersen and Karma Petersen of Harlan; and also Reverend Holger Strandskov.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home (1401 Garfield Ave, Harlan, IA 51537). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (1700 19th St, Harlan, IA 51537). A burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
