It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Hansen (Harlan, Iowa), who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tenta Haferbier (Christensen) and Carl Haferbier; her husband Harry Hansen; her daughter Becky Hansen; her daughter-in-law Connie Hansen; and her sisters, Erna Paulsen and Etta Hulsebus.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Hansen of Harlan, IA, Ted Hansen (DeeAnne) of Farmington, MO and Jane Washburn (Dale) of Centennial, CO; and her grandchildren, Sean Hansen, Kris Kersten, John Hansen, Laura Lindsey, Andy Hansen, Derek Washburn, Kyle Washburn and Stephanie Brown. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
