She is survived by: her husband Norman Schmitz of Westphalia, IA; her children, Debbie Davis (David) of Harlan, IA, Dawn Lapke (Leo) of Dunlap, IA, Dean Schmitz (Courtnay) of Des Moines, IA, Dale Schmitz (Heidi Brown) of Council Bluffs, IA, Denise Stephany (Wil) of Omaha, NE and Dana Schiltz (Danny) of Omaha, NE; her siblings, Dave Coenen (Karen) of Council Bluffs, IA, Vicki Schmitz (Larry) of Westphalia, IA and Twyla Grooms of Columbus, OH; and her sister-in-law Carol Coenen of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
