With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George T. Schwery (Harlan, Iowa), born in Panama, Iowa, who passed away on February 15, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Schwery and Alexia Schwery (Hoffman); his wife Maxine; and his siblings, Michael, Joseph Schwery and Rosemary "Rosie" (Ed Greiner).
He is survived by: his children, Nick Schwery of Panama, Paula Wallace of Omaha, NE, Phil Schwery (Marilyn) of Panama, Dennis Schwery (Susie) of Panama, Ann Hodapp (David) of Council Bluffs, Dean Schwery of Hickory, NC, Carol Schwery of Harlan, Janet Lefeber (Tom) of Portsmouth and Julie Determan (Steve) of Fairfax, VA.; his brother Ralph Schwery of Panama; and his sisters-in-law, Luetta Schwery (Michael) of Harlan and Donna Schwery (Joseph) of Panama. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
