She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Maassen and Ida Maassen (Scheel); her son Roger; her siblings, Ed and Betty; and her grandchildren, Amanda Hansen and Jason John.
She is survived by: her children, Pam, Lynn Hansen (Jane) of Anita, Iowa, Pamela John (James) of Lee Summit, Missouri and Jay Hansen (Liz) of Grinnell, Iowa; her grandchildren, Angie Zimmerman, Susie Larsen, Mitchel Hansen, Tina Wray, Eric John, Jill Shedek, Rachel Herring and Caleb Hansen; and her daughter-in-law Janice Hansen of Primgar, Iowa. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
