He is survived by: his sister Doris (David); his wife Addie Bell Hervey; his children, Les (Deb) of Defiance, Iowa, Rebecca Petterson (Doug) of Fuquay Varina and Paul (Shannon) of Schleswig; his grandchildren, Amanda, Abbi, Alex, Arynn, Adeline, Wendy (Ruben), Joanna, Hans, Brittnie (West), Hanna and Gracie; and his sisters, Delora Davis of Cameron, Missouri and Dorothy Poling of Rapid City.
