He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Nelsen and Blanche Nelsen (Hansen); his daughter Connie Lampkin; and his sisters, Evelyn Wright, Frances Palik and Doris Tegland.
He is survived by: his wife Matilda Nelsen of Hampton; his son Roger Nelsen of Hampton; and his grandchildren, Robert Nelsen (Cari), Steven Nelsen, Christy Waddell (Casey) and Stacey Raisch (Dale). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
