He is survived by: his former wife Gwendolyn Ellen Woltjer; his wife Gwen Spurgeon of Hampton; his daughters, Deana Hernandez (Marcos) of Eagle Pass, Jennifer Spurgeon of Hampton and Sarah Miller (Clay) of Hampton; his siblings, Charlotte Buerge of Carthage, Missouri and David Spurgeon (Phyllis) of Hampton; his grandchildren, Elliott Spurgeon of Ames, Ethan Spurgeon of Iowa Falls, Jennerae Spurgeon of Hampton, Jessilyn Spurgeon of Hampton, Ariana Hernandez of Eagle Pass, Conner Miller of Hampton and Savery Miller of Hampton; and his great grandchildren, Beckham Spurgeon of Cedar Rapids and Atikus Raymond Lionel George of Hampton. He is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
