She was predeceased by: her parents, William Platts and Mary Platts (Tyler); her children, Deanna Jean Miller and Dennis Ray Miller; her grandchildren, Dennis Ray Miller Jr. and Thomas Kalvig; and her siblings, Lucille Jensen (Logan), Iva Beenken (Herman), Ruth Grosland (Selmer), Leslie Platts, George Platts (Gertrude) and Silas Platts.
She is survived by: her former husband James Ray Miller of Mason City; her husband Harold Borchardt; her children, Larry Borchardt (Lee) of Prairie City, IA, Linda Stewart (Ray) of Dows, Gladys Fanny (Larry) of Hampton, Mary Muth (Dale) of Mason City and Marlene Williams (Terry) of Urbandale; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Platts of Mason City and Ivyl Neely of Mason City; and also Erran Miller. She is also survived by 4 step-children and their families; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
