It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonathan David Hofer (Hampton, Iowa), born in Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on August 6, 2019, at the age of 32, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Walter, Shirley Hanson and Ernest Merlyn Hofer; and his grandparents-in-law, Ken and Loretta Janssen.
He is survived by: his parents, Jeffrey Hofer and Shelly Hofer (Hanson); his wife Stephanie Janssen; his children, Zoey Jane of Hampton and Dexter Myles of Hampton; his siblings, Andrew Hofer (Jayna) of Dumont, Nichole Counsell (Greg) of Hampton, Daniel Hofer of Hampton, Malinda Tello (Johnny) of Hampton and Timothy Hofer of Hampton; his grandmother Lauritta Hofer of Hampton; his parent-in-law Gaye Janssen of Hampton; and his brother-in-law Todd Janssen (Carol) of Greenville. He is also survived by grandmother-in-law, ten nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Jon Hofer memorial fund.
