It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeryl W. Schmitt of Hampton, Iowa, who passed away on August 12, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Schmitt (Rodemeyer). He is survived by: his father Wendell Schmitt of Hampton; his wife Jane Schmitt of Hampton; his son Jeff Schmitt (Lori) of Iowa Falls; his grandchildren, Tara, Luke and Emma Schmitt of Iowa Falls; and his siblings, David Schmitt (Connie) of Ankeny and Mary Lynne Schmitt of Fairmont, Minnesota. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or the Melanoma Research Foundation.
