It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Delores Bender of Hampton, Iowa, born in Latimer, Iowa, who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Muhlenbruck and Malinda Muhlenbruck (Plagge); her husband Robert L. "Bob" Bender; her sisters, Darleen Muhlenbruck and Deone Muhlenbruck Schulz Deam; and her siblings-in-law, Ralph Bender (Rhoda), Doug Bender (Shirley) and Barbara Coe.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Bender (Linda) of Anchorage, Alaska and Mary Ann Bender of Urbandale; her granddaughter Katie Bender (Erik Anderson) of Anchorage; and her brother Milo Muhlenbruck (Kay) of Greene.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in memory of Delores to Franklin General Hospital Foundation, Hampton; Friends of the Arts at St. John's (Lutheran Church), Des Moines, IA; or Central Lutheran Church, Anchorage, AK.
