He is survived by: his spouse Ruth Louise Hodde; his son Richard Eric; his spouse Ruby Johnson; his son Dick; his daughter-in-law Jonelle of Hamburg; his grandchildren, Andrew Spiegel (Molly), Laura Tobin (Clint) and Kyle Spiegel (Becca); his great grandchildren, Claire Spiegel, Grant Spiegel, Allison Tobin and Clayton Tobin; his sister Helen Nicholson; and his brother-in-law Jack Nicholson of Des Moines, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
