He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Lawrence and Gladys Marie Winkler (Hawk); his brother Willis Winkler; and his stepbrother Freeman Bertelsen. He is survived by: his wife Barbara K. Neal (Carlson) of Sidney, IA; his son Terry Neal (Rebecca) of Ankeny, IA; his godson Rory Glenn (Angelina) of Sidney, IA; his grandchildren, Haley Neal of Ankeny, IA, Adam Neal of Greenville, SC, Noah Neal of Ankeny, IA, Cole Whitaker of Ankeny, IA and Riley Whitaker of Ankeny, IA; his sisters, Lois Anderson of San Antonio, TX and Jane Dwornicki (Frank) of Omaha, NE; and also, Aiden and Leila Glenn. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
Memorials may be given to Monday Morning Mission at United Faith Church-Sidney, IA.
