With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bazil A. Wenzel (Hamburg, Iowa), who passed away on June 29, 2023 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Wenzel (McAllister) and George Wenzel; his wife Bernice Wirth; his son Ronald Wenzel; his grandson Ryan Snodgrass; his sister Gladys; and his siblings-in-law, Robert, Polly Wirth, Leon, Evelyn Wirth, Donald, Naomi Schomerus, Bob Pfeiffer and Velda Kreifels.
He is survived by: his children, David Wenzel (Jackie) of Republic, MO, Susan Snodgrass (Dave) of Avoca, NE, Ellen Arthur (Dave) of Stockton, MO and Don Wenzel (Deanna) of Syracuse, NE; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Pfeiffer (Wirth) and LeRoy Kreifels. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.
