He is survived by: his children, Melinda, Cheryl, Randy and Janice; his grandchildren, Leslie Mitchell of Grinnell, IA, Kari Lowry (Paul) of Smithville, MO, Brad Gilbert (Cassie) of Sidney, IA, Brian Gilbert (Jessica) of Cameron, MO, Chad Thompson (Alisha) of Hamburg, IA, Derek Thompson (Jennifer) of Hamburg, IA, Meagan Kimpston (Jeremiah) of Brownville, NE, Zach Spears of Hamburg, IA and Erin Perry (Brian) of Elkhorn, NE; and his brother LeRoy Spears (Karon) of Shenandoah, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
