It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita M. Gerner of Guttenberg, Iowa, who passed away on May 19, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Meyer and Gertrude Meyer (Zapf); her husband Al Gerner of Michael's Catholic Church; her sons-in-law, Dale Meyer and Charles Forester; her great grandchild Austin Gerner; and her brother Clarence Meyer.
She is survived by: her children, David, Jim (Pam Moritz), Loras (Patti) of Garber, Richard of Guttenberg, Dori Eilers (Ted), Karen Meyer of Guttenberg, Betty Gerner of Center Point and Joan Gleason (Elvis) of Greeley.
