In loving memory of LaVonne M. Rodenberg of Guttenberg, Iowa, who departed this world on November 20, 2024 at the age of 90. LaVonne leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Schroeder and Irene Schroeder (Handke); her son Bruce Rodenberg (Deb); her son-in-law Craig Ruegnitz; her parents-in-law, Edward and Louise Rodenberg; her sister Darlene Bahls (Alfred); her brother-in-law Harlan Backes; her nieces and nephews, Darla Brodigan, Marlys Friedlein, Marilyn Svestka, Scott Schroeder, Robert Rodenberg, Ralph Livingston and Steve Christianson; and her in-laws, Morris Rodenberg (Delite), LaVerl Rodenberg (Ilo), Robert Livingston (Judy) and Burnette Livingston.
She is survived by: her husband Edward William Rodenberg Jr. of John's Lutheran Church; her daughter Carla Ruegnitz; her grandchildren, Chad Ruegnitz (Kelly), Christa Mohr (Ryan), Nicole Briggson (Daniel) and Bruce Rodenberg Jr. (Amber); her great grandchildren, Ashton Fangman, Carson Ruegnitz, Maliyah, Jameson Mohr, Deklyn Rodenberg and Adrianna Briggson; and her siblings, Hermie Schroeder (Janet), Lyle Schroeder (Hollis), Gary Schroeder (Jennifer), Denny Schroeder and Myrna Backes.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (203 Pearl St, Guttenberg, IA 52052). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Guttenberg City Cemetery (222 Garber Rd, Guttenberg, IA 52052).
