He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Morarend and Phyllis Morarend (Noack); his siblings, Caryles Morarend (Bonnie), Steven Morarend (Mary), Leanna Morarend and JoAnn Young; his father-in-law Irvin Kruse; his sister-in-law Melissa Kruse; and his pet Cloey.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Kruse; his children, Timothy Morarend (Ashley) and Hilliary Morarend; his grandson Easton; his sister Karen Smith (Steve); his brother-in-law Rick Young; his mother-in-law Carol Kruse; his siblings-in-law, Troy Kruse and Nancy McEowen (Greg); his nieces and nephews, Troy Smith (Lynn), Jeff Smith (Jessica), Chad Morarend (Kim), Quinn Morarend (Cheryl), Melissa Ishman (Brett), Shane Morarend (Carol), Hailey McEowen, Dustin McEowen, Emily and Katelyn Frey; and his pet Stella.
In Lieu of flowers and all styles of sympathy the family has requested that memorials be made to Crossing Rivers Hospice, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo or Dollars for Scholars.
