He was predeceased by: his former wife Flora Belle; his wife Claire; and his siblings, Ted, Perry, Steve, Viola and Ann.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Compton (Cheryl) of Peoria, AZ, Michael Compton (Rita) of Jefferson and Christie Flickinger (Tim) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Wyatt Compton (Stacee), Lindsay Lewis (Jason), Zachary Flickinger (Maria), Anna Flickinger, James Flickinger and Chris Compton (Kelli); his great grandchildren, Genevra, Haxton Compton, Charolette and Isabella Compton; and also, Marian Smith of Little Rock, AR and JoAnn Lydon of Greendfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dolph's memory to the Omar B. Shearer VFW Post #124, Guthrie Center, Iowa, an organization in which Dolph was a lifetime member.
