He is survived by: his grandchildren, MacKenzie (Chad Herron), Jared, Madison, Caden, Jadeyn, Kennade, Clayton, Ashton, Sawyer, Max and Charlotte Mae; his wife Sandra; his children, Jen Berger (Kevin) of Guthrie Center, JamieWardyn (Jessica) of Ankeny, Nikki Carrick (Lonnie) of Guthrie Center, Dustin Wardyn (ChelsieKopaska) of Guthrie Center and Shylo Wardyn (Jesse Riordan) of Iowa City; and his siblings, TomWardyn (Mary) of Bayard, Shirley Kosmatka (Dick) and Wayne Roths of Chesterton, Indiana. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
