With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marvin Tanke of Guernsey, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 18, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arnold Tanke and Dorothy Tanke (Schultz) of Barnes City; his wife Laurie Tanke of Guernsey; his children, Kelly Bayer (David) of Guernsey, Kyle Tanke (Leslie) of Wessington Springs, S. D. and Kami Walters (Ray) of Deep River; his grandchildren, Emily Bayer, Ryan Bayer, Beth Bayer, Brooklyn Caffee, Myles Tanke of Mary Tanke, R. J and Grant Walters; his siblings, Mark Tanke of Barnes City, Ronnie Tanke (Kim) of Williamsburg, Ruth Tanke of Princeton, Arnold Tanke (Kim) of Newton and Rose Cooper of Gibson; and his grandson Nolan Bayer.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home (201 W Main St, Montezuma, IA 50171). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (2653 CC Ave, Victor, IA 52347).
Memorials may be directed to the Deep River Fire Department or the Morrison-Schrader American Legion Post 296 of Deep River.
