She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Eilers and Pearl Eilers (Ruter); her husband Norman Van Deest; and her siblings, Claus, Gladys Bowers, June Rhoads, Genevieve Venenga and Adele Pruin.
She is survived by: her children, Roland Van Deest (Amy Ihde) of Hartshone, OK, Laura Hopper (Curtis) of Keystone, IA, Nancy Jungling (Mark) of Grundy Center and Paul Van Deest (Gina) of Peck, KS; her grandchildren, Marissa Joyce Hopper, Chloe Kaplan (Ben), Nathan Jungling (Jorden Lewis), Matthew Jungling (Jordyn Harper), Haley Bierman (Patrick), Nick Van Deest (Amber), Reed Van Deest (Kayla Clouse) and Paige Van Deest; her great grandchildren, Maple Kaplan, Elijah Blinks, Emma Joyce Jungling and Jensen Jungling; her brother Wayne Eilers (Judy); her sister-in-law Lynda Strait; her brothers, Marlyn and Kenneth Eilers; her siblings-in-law, Howard Bowers, Dusty Rhoads, Elgin Venenga, Bert Pruin, Ruth Eilers and Deloris Eilers; her nephews, Kent and Keith Alberts; her niece Kay Nielsen; and her great grandchild Rowen Bierman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
