Meinert and Marie Meinert (Hansen); her husband George Lee Dirks; her siblings, Margaret Koch (Herman), Helen Manus (Ken), Marie Whitney (Max), Ted Meinert (Gladys), John Meinert (Mildred) and Harry Meinert; her siblings-in-law, Lois Abels (Harold), Genevieve Schaa (Bud) and Ken Dirks; and her granddaughter Elisa Riquelme.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Dirks of Eldora, Iowa, Jean Thoren (Randy) of Grundy Center, Dennis Dirks (Cindy) of Grundy Center, Duane Dirks (Bev) of Grundy Center and Darrell Dirks (Miriam) of Tampa, Florida; her grandchildren, Brent Thoren (Angie), Laura Allar (Jeremy), Jordan Dirks (Becky), Trina Jorgensen (Joshua), Kylie Claycomb (Justin), Trent Dirks (Jenna), Shelby Dirks (Chris Kish), Christiana Dirks and George Dirks; her great grandchildren, Lainy and Ryker Thoren; her grandchildren, Ella, Christian Allar, Lauren, Avery, Sullivan, Contessa, Torrance Dirks, Aaron, Adrian Teckenburg, Alexa, Adele Jorgensen, Zakary, Zena Jorgensen, Jackson, Kai, Ronan Claycomb, Bently and Carter Dirks; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Meinert and Sue Dirks.
