We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2020, at the age of 81, Darris Smit of Grundy Center, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Smit and Grace Smit (Meyer); his siblings, Wilbur Smit (Sylvia), Dorothy Schmitt (George) and Vernice Schmidt (Bill); and his nieces and nephews, Kelly Hood, Marilyn Rose and Duane Schmitt.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Paul Smit (Sharon), Kathy Whitney (Jim), Sharlyn Stewart (Jim), Colleen Hood, Eric Rose, Dorris Burger (Rick), Eileen Van Kooten-Schmitt, Melinda Schmitt, Delwyn Schmitt (Brenda) and Delon Schmitt (Lori).
Memorials may be directed to the family, who will donate funds in Darris' memory, to the Colfax Center Church in rural Holland.
