She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Eugene and Phyllis Elinor Megginson (Steinmetz); and her siblings, John M. Megginson and Margaret Ann Megginson Berry. She is survived by: her husband Robert J. McIlrath; her children, Jon Andrew McIlrath (Marcia), Julie Ann Stefl (David), Susan Jeanne Nordhues (Kevin), Margaret Joy Parks (Les) and Dr. Mary Joan McIlrath (Keith Berry); and her grandchildren, Tracy Moore, Dr. Michael Stefl, Dr. Matthew Stefl, Dr. Amanda Johnston, Bryce Nordhues, Dr. Ben Nordhues, Megan EuDaly, Michelle Unker and Jeff Parks. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Methodist Church (707 6th St, Grundy Center, IA 50638). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
