He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Gepka Van Deest Henze; his brother Ernest; his wife Adeline Bottema; his daughters, Barb Hanson (Harlan) of Hiawatha, Laurie Henze-Wagler (Gunter Wagler) of Muensingen and Germany; his grandchildren, Joseph Terpstra (Shawna) of Humble, Liz Del Castillo of Holland, Becky Carter (Brad) of EauClaire, Ted Henze of Cedar Rapids, Heidi Vogel (Karl) of North Liberty and Brian Hanson (Whitney) of Chicago; his friend Irene Stout; and his sisters, Susie and Lena. He was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
