He is survived by: his mother Darlene Crew (Boots) of Coralville; his wife Valerie Akin; his children, Vanessa Kruger (Kody) of Grundy Center, Tyler Crew (Emma) of Ewa Beach, HI and John Crew of Reinbeck; and his brother Kirk Crew (Valerie Crew) of Williamsburg.
