He is survived by: his wife Deb; his children, Melissa VanHauen of Grundy Center, Matt Mitchell of Grundy Center and Mark Mitchell of State Center, IA; and his siblings, Brian, Brent, Bradd and Barbara. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
