She was predeceased by: her husband Marion Rex Powers; her siblings, Elton, Dale, Marion, Thelma Merle, Belma Berle Dorsheimer, Muriel Hooker, Guinevere Hemphill, Lorraine Edwards and Gale Edwards; and her nephew Stanley Hemphill (Levi Glover).
She is survived by: her children, Celeste Peck (Bob) of Griswold, Drue (Sherry) of Red Oak and Cole (Kim) of Griswold; her grandchildren, Jeb Peck (Brenda) of Griswold, IA, Hallie Robinette (Logan) of Atlantic, IA, Tess Petersen (Michael) of Wahoo, NE, Maggie Masker (Jared) of Greenfield, IA, Ethan Powers of Omaha, NE, Logan Powers (Aubree) of Council Bluffs, IA, Shay Powers (Jasmine) of Omaha, NE and Bailey Powers (Josh) of Corning, IA; her great grandchildren, Ellie, Colt, Nora, Helena, Maddax, Jay, Penelope, Matilda, Harvey and Dexter; her adoptive daughter Silvana Feitosa of Brazil; her friend Brayden; and also, Hayley Glover, Saraya Gipple and Trevor Gipple (Rhea).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Central Church of Christ (51 Harrison St, Griswold, IA 51535). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials can be given to the Macedonia Fund at the Central Church of Christ or the Cass County Museum.
