She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cordes and Freda Cordes (Jahlas); her husband Edward E. Watkins; her daughter Wilma Joan; her son-in-law Larry J. Johnson; her grandson Edward L. Johnson; her siblings, Irene Bryan (Earl), Lila Eberle Fraizer (Ed) and Darrell Cordes (Carolyn); and her niece Hope Cordes.
She is survived by: her daughters, June Watkins of Grinnell and Jeneane Johnson of Louisville, NE; her grandson Benjamin Johnson of Louisville, NE; her nieces, Miriam Bybee (Bill), Janice Fink (Mike) and Diane Brooks (Howard); and her nephew Marvin Cordes (Linda).
Memorials may be designated to the St. Francis Manor Foundation, Unity Point Hospice-Grinnell, or to Sheridan United Methodist Church and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
