He was predeceased by: his parents, Barend Sleeuwenhoek and Mabel Clausen Sleeuwenhoek; his wife Golda Mae Durr; his daughter-in-law Amy Sleeuwenhoek; and his siblings, Alfred, Earl, Carroll, Lloyd, Norman and Grace Sleeuwenhoek.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Young (Rick) of Grinnell and Kendell Sleeuwenhoek; his grandchildren, Travis Jilek (Becky) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Brooke Jordan, Kassidy Greeney (Zack) of Faribault and Levi Sleeuwenhoek (Savanah) of Lawrence, Michigan; and his stepgrandchildren, Aubrey Lacy (John) and Joe Bloomer. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
