He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Harris and Madeline Lacina Harris; his sons, Jeffery and James; and his sister Julia Conn.

He is survived by: his sons, Chris (Jill) and Steve of Grinnell; and his grandchildren, Becca Harris (Dave Maffett) of Denver, CO and Jake Harris of Grinnell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
