She was predeceased by: her parents, George Redding and Ellen Redding (Johnson); her husband Harry Ashby; her son Allan; her daughter-in-law Jean Ashby; her grandson Gary; and her siblings, Donald (Dorothy), Virgil (Marie) and Francis.
She is survived by: her children, Gordon Ashby (Karen) of Grinnell, Darrell Ashby (Joyce) of Grinnell and Miriam Schultz (Dale) of Grinnell. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to St. John's Lutheran Church or to the St. Francis Manor Foundation, mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
