She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Kirchert and Phyllis Rydberg Kirchert; and her brothers, Randall and Alan Kirchert. She is survived by: her husband Francis (Frank) of Grinnell; her sons, Lynn (Todd Kirsch) of Dallas Center and Todd (Clarissa); her grandsons, Lucas Reitzler, Jaxon Reitzler, Andrew Oelmann (Yumi) and Benjamin Oelmann; her great grandchildren, Lawrence Oelmann and Audrianna Oelmann; and her siblings, Les Kirchert (Carla), Pat Athen (Larry), Becky DeVries (Dan) and MaryAnn Major (Mike). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
