It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Starnes of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on November 20, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Edward Emmert and Mary Elizabeth Emmert (Allen); and her brothers, Marvin and Williard Emmert. She is survived by: her former husband Larry Starnes; her granddaughter Sara; her children, Craig Starnes of The Dalles, OR and Sara Badillo (Carlos) of Hood River, OR; her grandchildren, Ryan Starnes, Emma Vega and Natalia Vega; and her half-sister Betty Jantzen of Tama.

A face mask will be required for those attending the service.
