He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Leonard and Lenna Evelyn Young Erickson; his parents-in-law, Wayne and Ella Harkness; his sister Lois Hovey; and his brothers-in-law, Marland Bjerke and Walter Hovey.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine of Grinnell; his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Karen Erickson of Kellogg; his grandchildren, Nicole Lopez-Garcia of Kellogg, Mathew of Kellogg and Chase Erickson of Kellogg; his great grandchild Emma Lopez-Garcia of Kellogg; and his sister Marlys Bjerke of Spring Grove, Minnesota..
