She is survived by: her husband Vernon "Chip" Gibson of Grinnell; her son Ben Rupe of Grinnell; her mother Maxine Purvis; her stepchildren, Susan Gibson, Clint Gibson and Natalie Wissink; her sister Denise Sedlock; and her brother-in-law Charles Foster. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren.
