He is survived by: his wife Doris L. Wiley; his children, Patti, Daniel Hotchkin (Leslie) of Palatine, IL, Kathleen Groenback (Ken) of Davenport, IA, Patricia Splavec (Scott) and Timothy Hotchkin of Plymouth, MN; his grandchildren, Chelsey, Erin, Mitchell, Jonathon, Michael, Kaitlyn and Jessica; and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Blake, Maverick, Sydney, Naomi, Liam and Sadie.
A prayer was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Smith Funeral Home - Grinnell (1103 Broad St, Grinnell, IA 50112). Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (1002 Broad St, Grinnell, IA 50112). The military honors was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hazelwood Cemetery (120 1st Ave W, Grinnell, IA 50112). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
