We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2022, at the age of 35, Michaella L. Saunders of Grinnell, Iowa, born in Montezuma, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandfather Bill Henkle; her stepgrandmother Molly Saunders; and her stepson Brant Saunders. She is survived by: her parents, Michael Henkle and Brenda Henkle (Thompson) of Montezuma; her husband Terry Saunders of Grinnell; her stepchildren, Taylor, Macy (Tristan) and Addison; her pet Josie; her brother Thomas Henkle (Cori) of Montezuma; her nieces and nephews, Abbi and Tait; and her grandparents, Mary Thompson of Hartwell, GA, Glenn Thompson (Amy) of Pendergrass, GA and Leila Henkle of Montezuma. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorials may be designated to the Michaella Saunders Memorial Fund to benefit local organizations and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.
