It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Eugene Bennington of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on August 4, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Bennington and Margaret Poots Bennington. He is survived by: his wife Linda Rae Matteson; his daughter Susan Schmidt (Todd); his granddaughter Ashley Symbol; and his sister Virginia Gillaspie.

Memorial contributions may be designated to the Max Bennington Memorial Fund.
