She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Towne Hotchkin and Mary Amelia Hotchkin (DeHart); her husband Joe Pierce; her great grandchild Mason Belarde; and her siblings, Neil Hotchkin, David Hotchkin, Dennis Hotchkin, Diane Byrd, Hope Cockerton and Stephen Hotchkin.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jo Hangartner (Randy) of Decorah, Dawna Elliott of Grinnell, Jim Pierce (Bev) of Kellogg and Terri Walker (Jeff) of Des Moines; and her grandchildren, Jessica Pierce, Erica Kelderman (Dave), Leslie Brickman (Dallas), Myra Belarde (David), Aaron Walker, Michael Hangartner (Aimee) and Adam Walker (Tiffany). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
