He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Lou Phipps Roovaart; and his wife Cynthia L. Butcher. He is survived by: his father Lyle Wayne of Barnes City; his daughters, Vanessa Roovaart of Grinnell, Nichole Roovaart of Grinnell and Desiree Blom (Jeremy) of Sully; his siblings, Randy Roovaart (Michelle) of Windsor Heights, Lila Fusaro (Pat) of Des Moines and Twila Thompson (John) of Montezuma; and his grandchildren, Skylar Green, Gabriel Sears, Kylan and Lakota Blom.
