She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Helfritz and Lizzie Helfritz (Olson); her husband Harv; her great grandchild Riley Chiles; and her siblings, Matie Lavina Helfritz, Willard Helfritz, Russell Helfritz, Otto Helfritz, Delmar Helfritz, Hazel Naversath and Gladys Jorgenson.
She is survived by: her spouse Harvey William Quindt; her children, Connie Van Gorp of Altoona and Tom Quindt (Pam); her grandchildren, Michele Zeidler (Scott) of Breezy Point, MN, Chris Van Gorp (Lisa) of Prairie City, IA, Carrie Chiles (Jerry) of Altoona, Holly Hunt (Devin) of Williamsburg, IA and Mark Quindt (Colleen) of Newton, IA; and her brother Robert Helfritz (Beverly) of Austin, MN..
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be designated in her name to a local library of the donor's choice, mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.
