He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Jess Routier and Ruth Nadine Routier (Dobson); his siblings, Lyle, Lawrence Routier, Lila Bell and Linda Routier; and his grandchildren, Danielle Anker and Benjamin Vorwerk.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Routier of Grinnell; his children, Laura Vorwerk (Jeff) of Altoona, IA, Marlis Anker (Jeff) of Polk City, IA, Denny Routier (Kay) of Waterloo, IA and Randy Routier of California; and his brother Leonard Routier of Texas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Chris Norton Foundation (helping people with spinal cord and neuromuscular disabilities live life to the fullest) and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
