He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Hans Paulson and Margaret "Mae" Paulson (Elmore); his daughter Nesha Meyer; and his siblings, Howard Paulson, Ruth Taylor, Doris Sleeuwenhoek, Merle Paulson, Genevieve Bailey and Ross Paulson.
He is survived by: his friend Church; his wife Shirley Paulson; his sister Phyllis Saunders of Grinnell; his children, Craig Paulson (Kim Staples), Mark Paulson (Brenda) and Karma Werner (Kelly) of Grinnell; his grandchildren, Camille Tryon (Joel), Carrie Bohn (Mike) of Cedar Rapids, Laura Patten (Joe) of Grinnell, Juelles Brenner, Jamie Brenner of Ames, Leah Paulson (Mitch Tomlonovich) of Colfax, Randy Paulson of Sheldon, Renae Follette (Clinton), Brian Paulson (Jordan) of Grinnell, Kolton Werner of Nevada, Kayte Werner and Kevin Werner of Grinnell; and his great grandchildren, Jessa Tryon, Annabelle Bohn, Brianna Bohn, Blake Bohn, Claira Bohn of Cedar Rapids, Lily Patten, Lana Patten of Grinnell, Logan Dimit, Carter Tomlonovic of Colfax, Bryce Follette, Cory Paulson and Lyla Paulson of Grinnell.
