It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen (Blanchard) Cohrt of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on November 28, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Blanchard and Frances Blanchard (Ozburn); her daughter Heather Kaiser (Cohrt); her siblings, Cliff Blanchard and Carol Meyers; and her nephew Jamie Blanchard.
She is survived by: her former husband Robert Hathaway Sr.; her husband Gary Cohrt; her children, Rob Hathaway (Kandi) of Belle Plaine and Chris Vest (Mike) of Grinnell; her grandchildren, Laurynn Kaiser of Blairstown, Samantha Brecht (Eric) of Amana, Blake Youngman (Nicolle) of Belle Plaine, Chelsey Steckly (Jared) of Parnell and Ariel (Lindenmayer) of Marengo; her sisters, Cathy Anderson of Garwin and Roberta Bulman of Cedar Rapids; and her sister-in-law Doreen Blanchard of Keystone. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
