With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim Collum of Grinnell, Iowa, born in Brooklyn, Iowa, who passed away on May 14, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Collum and Mary Collum (Snook); and his siblings, Joseph Collum, Jr., Delores Lacaeyse, Patricia Brau, Tom Collum and John Paul Collum.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Monroe; his son Jeff Collum (Kris); his grandchildren, Layne and Ryleigh; his daughter Debbie Collum-Calderwood of Brooklyn, IA; his grandchildren, Morgan Collum and Christian Calderwood; his son Chad Collum (Mendy) of Urbandale, IA; and his grandchildren, Kayla and Claire. He is also survived by his siblings.
Memorials may be designated to the Jim Collum Memorial Fund to benefit local organizations and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.
